On Tour

Every fall, thousands of students are introduced to Shakespeare when we tour Shakespeare's work into classrooms and communities throughout Nebraska and the region.

In 2019, we performed 39 shows and facilitated over 90 educational activities in 17 counties.

The 2020 live experience was canceled due to Covid. However, Nebraska Shakespeare did provide a virtual event with a film viewing and live zoom conversations with educators.

Here we are in 2021, and we are excited to offer Romeo and Juliet. The production will be an exciting hip-hip adaptation by Omaha’s own Tyrone Beasley. Scroll down for more information.

Romeo and Juliet On Tour

This coming fall, we are excited to announce that we will once again provide live theatre and educational workshops to the schools and rural communities throughout Nebraska. To celebrate a return to normalcy, we are currently adapting a shortened version of Romeo and Juliet that combines Shakespeare’s words with a modern interpretation featuring a hip-hop style of delivery and a multi-ethnic cast of actor/educators.

We invite you to join us for this unique and exciting theatrical experience.

Tour dates will begin on September 17th and continue through November 15th. To request more information on the tour and how to reserve a date, please contact Lara Marsh, Director of Productions by clicking here.
