The First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare

Join us as we partner with The Durham Museum, Nebraska's host for the First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare national tour, to help kick-off the month-long exhibition.

“The Durham Museum is excited to announce that Nebraskans can now plan to experience first-hand the wonder and rareness of the First Folio. From Shakespeare aficionados to students studying the Bard’s plays for the first time, this exhibit is a rare opportunity for people in Nebraska to experience one of the most influential books in history.”

-Jessica Brummer, Director of Marketing, The Durham Museum

o help commemorate the event, Nebraska Shakespeare will be presenting its annual Director's Reading Series at the Durham.  Join us as actors read excerpts and scenes from The Two Noble Kinsmen.
April 9, 2016 - 3:00 PM
The Durham Museum
801 S. 10th Street
Exploring the signature lines, major moments, and compelling characterizations of Shakespeare's lesser known works, the reading will take place at 3 PM on Saturday, April 9th, amidst other Exhibit Kick-Off activities.

A discussion follows outlining important themes, challenges of production, and conceptual interpretations. The Reading Series is an opportunity for our audience to hear the rarely-produced works of William Shakespeare, presented by Nebraska Shakespeare actors, and engage in dialogue about the play with the Artistic Director.

Enjoy an intimate engagement between the actors, the audience, and the text.
