Part of the Connect with Shakespeare series, Shakespeare On The Silver Screen brings you films inspired by Shakespeare's life and plays. Accompanying each film, a discussion covering the film and the interpretation of Shakespeare's texts is led by Sarah Brown, NS Artistic Director. Shakespeare On The Silver Screen 2019 will be presented in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema!

As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.
