Enter the 16th Annual Anne Dittrick Sonnet Writing Contest Sponsored by Nebraska Shakespeare Nebraska Shakespeare, in its 27th Season, is accepting submissions for its 16th Annual Anne Dittrick Sonnet Writing Contest. There are both High School and Adult/Postsecondary Divisions. There is no entry fee for participants. Click HERE to see the 2012 winning sonnets.
High School Division Guidelines The contest is open to all high school students. Interested students should contact their English teachers who submit the entries to Nebraska Shakespeare. Contest winners and their teachers will receive a Shakespeare Gift Pack. First Place winner receives a scholarship to Camp Shakespeare 2013, and his or her teacher receives Reserved Seating at Shakespeare On The Green 2013. The winning entry will be published in the souvenir program for Shakespeare on the Green 2013, on the Nebraska Shakespeare website, and read by a Company member On The Green.
Adult/Post Secondary Division Guidelines First prize in the Adult/Post Secondary Division will receive $100 and all contest winners will receive a Shakespeare Gift Pack. The winning entry will be published in the souvenir program for Shakespeare on the Green 2013, on the Nebraska Shakespeare website, and read by a Company member On The Green. We encourage topics such as love and friendship, nature and the outdoors, hopes and dreams. Deadline for all submissions is May 13, 2013.
