Step 1: Application
A. Meet with your advisor to determine your needs as an intern. (i.e. number of hours needed, course requirements, freshman or upper class credit, parameters of internship, etc.)
B. Fill out an application and return it to the NS office at UNO, room 320. Download NS Internship Application here.
Step 2: Interview - to be arranged with the NS Production Manager.
IF YOU ARE GRANTED AN INTERNSHIP POSITION, then proceed:
Step 3: Admission, registration and assignment
A. If you are not admitted to UNO, then you will need to fill out an application for admission. Graduating high school seniors must also present a letter of permission from a parent. UNO application for admission enclosed. Once completed, mail it to the admissions office with your $25 application fee. You will find a listing of the university requirements and mailing address on the last page.
B. Once admitted, you will need to register for the proper internship course in order to receive credit. Information on how to register will be sent to you upon admission. A list of courses and call numbers for UNO theatre students is listed below. Other students will need to consult with their advisor to determine which class to register for. Please remember that you are responsible for payment of the course - NS will not cover registration or class fees.
Call or meet with your direct NS supervisor prior to beginning your internship to discuss job outline, duties and NS expectations.
Complete the contract enclosed in your packet, outlining your internship objectives, goals, expectations, and plans for evaluation. (If your academic advisor requires further documentation, you must work with him or her to provide additional outlines.)

Undergraduate: Freshman and Sophomore level Summer Theatre Workshop 2000-201 (1 to 3 hours)
Undergraduate: Junior and Senior level Advanced Projects: Shakespeare Festival 4010-201 (1 to 3 hours)
Graduate level Advanced Projects: Shakespeare Festival 8016-201 (1 to 3 hours)
Graduate level with advanced assignments or have already taken 8010 Special Topics: Theatre and Drama 8000-201 (3 hours only)
Graduate level Internship in Theatre 8030-201 (1 to 6 hours)
