Khris Lewin

Delighted to be making his first appearance on the NS stage, Khris just finished a run as Cyrano de Bergerac at TheatreWorks in Colorado Springs. Recent work in New York includes world premieres such as Deb Margolin’s Time Is the Mercy of Eternity with Lisa Kron at the West End Theatre, a new translation of Brecht's Private Life of the Master Race with Roust Theatre Company, Stomp and Shout! with Babel Theatre Project, and Selected Shorts at Symphony Space (which will be broadcast this fall on NPR). Favorite regional roles include Hamlet (Blackfriars Playhouse and TheatreWorks), Wiseman in Knock! Knock! (Vineyard Playhouse), Petey Maxwell in Love and Anger (Manbites Dog Theatre) and Mercutio (Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival). His film work includes the independent shorts The Eyes Have It, First Date and the recurring character Jim Cramer on CBS’ wallstrip.com. His website is www.khrislewin.com.

Maryann Towne

Maryann has done seasons with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Denver Center Theater company. She has worked Off-Broadway in New York City. Her film work has been screened at Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Kansas City Film Festival, as well as USA Fest. She has appeared in commercials and done voice overs since graduating from the National Theater Conservatory. Maryann lives and works in New York City.

Sean Carlson

Sean is back for a third year with Nebraska Shakespeare. Previous roles with NS include Longaville in Love's Labour's Lost, and the illustrious First Watchman in Much Ado About Nothing. Sean recently graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a B.A. in Theatre. While at UNO he graced the stage as Yvan in ART, Ralph Clark in Our Country's Good, and Picasso in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Sean just finished his first year with RESPECT, a local theatre for social change company that performs plays all throughout Nebraska and Iowa, and he looks forward to another great year with them.

Sarah graduated from UNO in 2003 with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Performance. She has toured with the Utah Shakespearean Festival (Twelfth Night), Nebraska Theatre Caravan (A Christmas Carol), Nebraska Shakespeare (Taming of the Shrew/Romeo and Juliet/A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Metro Community College (Eurydice). Sarah also directs and teaches throughout the Omaha area working with the Omaha Community Playhouse, Metro Community College, Nebraska Shakespeare (Shakespeare Unbound/Camp Shakespeare) and many local high schools and middle schools.

Raydell Cordell III

Raydell is excited to be returning to NSF for the fourth consecutive year. Entering his senior year at UNO, Raydell was just seen as Thesus/Oberon in Cindy Melby Phaneuf’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as the final show in UNO 2008-2009 season. Some of his favorite roles include Rosencrantz in Hamlet, Talythibus in Women of Troy, and Aborigine in Our Country’s Good. In his free time, Raydell is researching and preparing to venture off to graduate school to achieve a MFA in Acting.
Jackson Cottrell

This is Jackson’s first season with NS, and he is extremely excited and honored to be acting in Macbeth this year. He recently completed his second year in the UNO Theater program. His favorite role at UNO has been A Boy in Waiting for Godot.
Quincy Ellefson
Young Macduff-Mac
This is Quincy’s first year with NS and he is excited to be here. Quincy appeared in the Omaha Community Playhouse production of A Christmas Carol as Tiny Tim in 2007 and 2008. His most recent work was as a cast member in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at UNO and the upcoming independent film The Journal. He was a model for the mural “Fertile Ground” in downtown Omaha. Quincy spends his time off the stage playing baseball.

Jason Francis

Jason Francis is thrilled to spend his first summer with Nebraska Shakespeare. With more than 15 years professional experience, he completes his MFA Degree in Acting from UNL in 2010. Jason has worked in such houses as Playhouse on the Square (Memphis), 5th Avenue Theatre (Seattle), and Nebraska Repertory Theatre (Lincoln). He also toured the US and Canada for a year with Missoula Children's Theatre. He dedicates his performance to his wife and daughter.
Daniel Gilbert

Daniel is thrilled to be making his first appearance with NS. He is currently working towards his MFA in theatre at The Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film at UNL where he has appeared as; Doodle in The London Cuckolds, Orlando in As You Like It and Morrow in An American Daughter. Daniel is originally from Oklahoma where he obtained his BFA in theatre from The University of Central Oklahoma. Daniel has participated as a company member of Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park for five seasons; some of his favorite roles include: Romeo, Lucius, King Ferdinand, and Proteus.
Chris Harris

Shannon has worked with Nebraska Shakespeare for the last five seasons, usually backstage as wardrobe mistress or in the costume shop sewing, patterning, and even assistant designing last year's productions of Much Ado and King Lear. This is her second season acting on the green, having played Jaquenetta in Love's Labour's Lost two summers ago. Other favorite roles include Maria in Compleat Female Stage Beauty (SNAP! Productions), Elle in Kawaisoo (UNO), and Matt Damon in Matt and Ben (Omaha Community Playhouse). During the school year, Shannon works with the RESPECT2 program, travelling to schools throughout Nebraska and Iowa, performing plays and conducting workshops on bullying prevention, peer pressure, and dating violence.

Qadir Khan

This is Qadir’s fourth season with the Festival. He earned his master’s degree from UNO’s Theatre department and is very grateful for all the support and opportunities he has received from NSF and UNO. He plans on getting his MFA and pursuing his acting career. Qadir is very excited for the opportunity to be a part of Macbeth and looks forward to the challenges ahead.

Matt King Donalbain/Young Siward-Mac

This is Matt's third season with the Festival. He was a member of the 2-Minute Shakespeare Ensemble from our 20th Anniversary
season, and last season he played Curan in King Lear and Conrade in Much Ado About Nothing. Matt graduated from UNO in
May with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. He plans to attend graduate school for acting.

Alan Klem

Alan is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Creighton University. For twenty-three years he has taught classes in acting and directing and has directed more than thirty plays ranging from classical to contemporary musicals, including The Rainmaker which he directed last fall. In 2003, Alan wrote the book and directed an extensive musical drama based on the Lewis and Clark expedition to celebrate that event’s Bicentennial. He is a co-founder of the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival and has directed The Tempest, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Merry Wives of Windsor, and Richard III. His acting credits with NS include Eglamour in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Duncan in Macbeth (1999), Julius Caesar in Julius Caesar, Old Shepherd in The Winter’s Tale, Gonzalo in The Tempest, and Gloucester in King Lear. In May 2009 Alan read excerpts of the role of Salieri from Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus for Omaha Symphony’s Mozart and Salieri concert. Prior to joining the faculty at Creighton University, Alan was a professional actor and director in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. He taught and directed at Casa Manana Acting School in Fort Worth where he also co-founded Shakespeare-in-the-Park.
Brendan JD Reilly

Brendan, an Omaha native, is an actor and aspiring playwright theatre major at UNO. This is his first season with NS. Most recently he appeared as Bottom in UNO’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Earlier in the season he played Schmendiman in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Other favorite roles include Jean in Miss Julie and Sir John Falstaff (Benedictine College), and Eulpides in The Birds (UNO).

Darrick Silkman

Darrick is excited to be returning to NS for his fourth season. He was also a member of our touring company for the second year, playing Theseus and Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He played Tybalt in our 2007 touring production of Romeo and Juliet. He also played the Chorus for the second time in Romeo and Juliet Meet Prokofiev, our Music Alive collaboration with the Omaha Symphony. He holds an MA in theatre from UNO and has appeared in numerous productions there as well as around the Omaha metro including Hamlet, Mother Courage, Angels in America, Miss Julie, The Glass Menagerie, Raised in Captivity, Dinner Party, Cyrano, and A Raisin in the Sun.
 Maria Vacha
Witch 1 (Third Murderer)-Mac

Maria will be graduating with her MA in Theatre this August from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. This is her third season with Nebraska Shakespeare. She appeared as Cordelia and Hero in last year’s productions. Her latest work was for her thesis role as Puck in UNO's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
