The National Endowment for the Arts announced 36 theater companies participating for 2006-2007 in its acclaimed Shakespeare for a New Generation program.

20th Anniversary Presentation

In honor of the 20th Anniversary, Shakespeare on the Green 2006 will feature The Taming of the Shrew, originally produced in the Festival’s first year and again for the 10th Anniversary Season. This Festival favorite will be produced along with a play new to the NSF stage, Antony and Cleopatra.

Dana Gioia, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, will be in Omaha on Thursday, May 11th to attend the annual fundraiser for the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival.
