Mary Ann Bamber
Executive Director
Mary Ann joined NS in 2008 with over 25 years of management and strategic development experience. In the 1980s, she worked for Norwest Nebraska (now Wells Fargo), first as Director of Organizational Development, then as Corporate Sales Development Director. She then spent several years as an independent business consultant for clients such as Aquilla Energy, First Westroads Bank, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and the University of Nebraska, assisting them with strategic planning, marketing, and sales development. Mary Ann served as Executive vice President of Retail Services with Associated Banc-Corp for eight years, focusing on marketing, product and sales development, Internet banking, and providing leadership to over 300 retail banking locations. Her most recent challenge prior to joining NS was developing a full-service 300+ person call center to support a new brand launch for Revlon Cosmetics in New York. Mary Ann has served on the Council on Financial Competition, Harvard Business School Leadership Round Table, and received the American Society for Training and Development Lifetime Achievement Award.
Sarah Carlson-Brown
Associate Artistic Director / Education
Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from UNO in 2003. This is her tenth year with Nebraska Shakespeare, working both as an actor and educator and three years as a Camp Shakespeare instructor. She has toured with the Utah Shakespearean Festival (Twelfth Night), Nebraska Theatre Caravan (A Christmas Carol), Nebraska Shakespeare (Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth) and Metro Community College (Eurydice). Sarah also works as an actor and instructor with numerous regional theatres, community theatres, and local schools. In the 2010 Shakespeare on the Green, Sarah played Lucetta in Two Gentlemen of Verona, the Musical and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet.  In this past 2010 NS Educational Fall Tour of Romeo and Juliet, Sarah was Tybalt/Nurse/Ensemble. Other responsibilities included booking agent, co-company/road manager and educator. Presently Sarah works part-time with Omaha Performing Arts as well as being a professional actor/educator in Omaha and surrounding areas.
 
Vincent Carlson-Brown
Associate Artistic Director / Company
Vincent received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (Acting and Directing focus) from UNO in 2004. Vincent has been a Nebraska Shakespeare company member for twelve years. A professional actor, Vincent has toured with the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Nebraska Theatre Caravan and Nebraska Shakespeare's Fall Education Tours (The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Macbeth). He has appeared in many seasons of Shakespeare on the Green (Richard III, Othello, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of the Shrew, Antony and Cleopatra, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, King Lear and Macbeth). This past 2010 season he appeared in the productions of Two Gentlemen of Verona, the Musical and as Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. Vincent was also the fight director for Romeo and Juliet. Vincent has also been a Camp Shakespeare instructor.  In this past 2010 NS Educational Fall Tour of Romeo and Juliet, Vincent was Prince/Peter/Mercutio/Friar Laurence/Ensemble. Other responsibilities included fight director, co-company/road manager and educator. Vincent works as a fight director and guest teacher for Omaha area high schools, community theatres, and universities.
Wesley A. Houston
Director of Production
Now in his ninth season with Nebraska Shakespeare, Wesley has combined his aptitude for theatre management and his passion for dramaturgy to serve in various management and research roles for Nebraska Shakespeare before being hired on as the full-time Director of Production in 2011. Wesley received his bachelor's degree in Theatre from UNO in 2007 and has served as the stage manager for multiple productions in area theatres including the Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP), SNAP! Productions, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, the Qwest Center, and Offutt Air Force Base. Wesley is currently pursuing his Master’s degree and has taught courses in stage management and introduction to theatre at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
 
Alan Klem
Artistic Director
Alan Klem was a co-founder of the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival twenty-five years ago and served as Co-Artistic Director from 1987-1992. During his original tenure with the Festival, he directed our productions of The Tempest, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Merry Wives of Windsor, and Richard III. His acting credits with NS include Eglamour in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Duncan in Macbeth (1999 and 2009), Julius Caesar in Julius Caesar, Old Shepherd in The Winter’s Tale, Gonzalo in The Tempest, and Gloucester in King Lear. Alan is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Creighton University. For twenty-four years he has taught classes in acting and directing and has directed more than thirty plays ranging from classical to contemporary musicals. He is a Co-Founder of Shakespeare-in-the-Park in Fort Worth, Texas, where he served as Artistic Director from 1976-1979. From 1975 to 1978 he was an Acting Teacher and Stage Director for Casa Manana Playhouse and Performing Arts School, also in Fort Worth. In 2003, Alan wrote the book and directed an extensive musical drama, Lewis and Clark Part One: Manifest Destiny, based on the Lewis and Clark expedition to celebrate that event’s Bicentennial. Last year he performed the role of Salieri in excerpts from Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus for the Omaha Symphony’s Mozart and Salieri concert.
 
nellie sudavicius maccallum
Marketing Director
As part-time staff, nellie is still inspired by the energy and creativity of the productions. “Every year is an adventure - preparing for each season and the Nebraska Shakespeare programs throughout the year.” Designing the graphics for the past 14 seasons with her sister Dalia Sudavicius, is always special. nellie is a member of the NS Circle of Kent and owns Genesis Communications, an advertising agency.
