Lara Marsh - Director of Production

Lara Marsh is an Omaha Theatre Practitioner with her Master’s from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a focus on Directing. She has worked over 25 years in the Omaha theatre scene, directing, stage-managing, and teaching. Lara spent 17 years working as the Tour Coordinator for the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, including going on the road several times. She has spent her spare time working for the Great Plains Theatre Conference, the Aksarben Coronation Ball, and several area theatres. Favorite directing credits include: The Clearing, Brilliant Traces, Mary Stuart and Operation Crucible. Favorite Stage-Managing credits include: Richard III, Othello, Mr. Roberts and The Sound of Music. Her current endeavors also include the Omaha Fringe, Historical Research Dramaturgy work, Intimacy Directing, and dialects. Lara’s history with Nebraska Shakespeare streams back to 1996. She started as a lighting volunteer, and quickly went onstage in Midsummer in 1998, and then onto stage-management for many years. Over time, Lara has assisted in the office, on the site, and many positions in between. The words of the Bard always call Lara back and it is here at Nebraska Shakespeare, she feels at home.
